The Diary of Riene: 12/12/2021

It's been a while again, sorry about that! It's been a little busy, so I've needed to put some blogs on the back burner for a bit.

With it being 12/12, there must be lots of people taking advantage of today's sales and shopping aplenty! As for me, yes, I had several things added to various shopping carts, all ready to be checked out today! And I saved more by asking my friends if there was anything they wanted me to help them get, lol. When you don't have a sugar daddy (like me), you've got to save where you can even when treating yourself, right?

Anyway, with Christmas coming up in just under two weeks, and the New Year in barely three, most people are probably busy with festive plans, getting things ready for gatherings with family and friends or dates with that special someone! mentioned coming up with some festive date ideas, but I hadn't managed to get that done in time.

However, I still have a couple of ideas – so without further ado, read on for more Christmas date ideas!

1. 가든스 바이 더 베이

Christmas Wonderland is back this year, and the Flower Dome is also suitably done up and featuring poinsettias for Christmas!

There are plenty of attractions to keep your interest, and the Christmas light displays will be amazing for photos with your sugar daddy/baby! There's even carnival games and a carousel at the Christmas Wonderland attraction, and a small Christmas market do a shopping.

Hungry after all that walking? Just head on over to Marina Bay Sands for a sumptuous repast, with plenty of restaurants headed by celebrity chefs, bearing Michelin stars, or both! Thus capping off the perfect Christmas date of your dreams!

(And yes, tickets are still available! Get them now at the link above!)

2. Festive Afternoon Tea

Alright, admittedly afternoon tea tables are probably fully reserved in most bars and restaurants by now for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. However, if you're going out anytime before or after that (or if you're very lucky), still book a table for afternoon tea at one of the many luxury hotels in Singapore! This is an especially good idea for those who may have weird work schedules or appointments to work around, as lunch and dinner dates remain more

Think the Mandarin Oriental, Fullerton Hotel, Capitol Kempinski, and more – they were on my initial list of places with Christmas-themed menus, including afternoon tea! In fact, my best friend and I will be going for a festive afternoon tea at one of these very places on my day off next week! Many restaurants offering festive menus include classic treats like ham for savouries and log cakes for sweets, and several even have unique scones that can't be found anywhere else. This is the perfect way to enjoy a leisurely afternoon over delicious, handcrafted treats and drinks!

3. 오차드로드

This is one for the shopaholics! Every year, Orchard Road is lit up during Christmas with a unique theme. This year's theme is "Christmas In Bloom" – so you can expect displays of flower-themed lights. From the Visit Singapore website:
"Luminous decorations in the form of White Christmas Roses will adorn the stretch from Cairnhill Junction to the Atrium@Orchard, while the main archway along Scotts-Paterson Road Junction will be decorated with an array of red, white and gold poinsettias."

Doesn't that sound lovely? What's more, the Mandarin Orchard will feature a 3D projection show over this period from 8-10.30pm every night. It'll be a lovely way to wind down after some shopping and dinner

And yes, over the Christmas season, there are many, many malls and merchants offering Christmas deals as they do every year. The link above includes more details of the annual Orchard Road light up and shopping deals, so don't forget to check it out!
